When and how do I receive my finished logo?
Once you have chosen your logo and made your payment you will be redirected to a page where you can download your logo immediately.  top

What file formats do I receive?
You can download your logo immediately in these file formats:  top

PNG file
High resolution Portable Network Graphics (PNG) file format is used for lossless compression and for display of images on the World Wide Web. You can also insert a PNG file into a Word document for example, resize it and print with an office printer. Please note this file does not have a transparent background but we can supply one at no extra charge on request.

If you need to print with your office printer you will be able to do this using the PNG file which you can insert into a programme such as Word.To insert the file into a Word document for example, you would open your Word document and then go to:
Insert>Picture from file>then scroll down to Portable Network Graphics (PNG) on the file type menu and click insert.
This may be slightly different depending on which version you are using.
The PNG file can only be reduced, but the file we send is large, so you shouldn't need to enlarge it for stationery usage.

GIF files
These are used in the same way as JPG files but are compressed even more, making them ideal for graphics with solid fields of color; because of their high compression, these files should not be used for graphics with gradients (such as photographs). This file is for Web use only. You can use this file on your web site and view it with any browser. Fully optimized for use.

When you make your payment you will have the option of choosing to add an EPS file to your order for an extra £10. We will then send this to you usually within 24 hours.

EPS files
EPS stands for Encapsulated PostScript. PostScript is the universal language used by computer printers as well as professional printers. This type of graphics file can be pulled into almost any other application – from Microsoft Word and PowerPoint to layout-based programs such as Adobe InDesign and PageMaker etc. It can easily be reduced or enlarged without loss of resolution and is one of the best files to give to a professional printer for reproducing your logo on the printed page. Your printers, web designers, silk screen printers, etc. may use this type of file. They will be able to make many other file types from this if they need to. It is editable, should you, with your printer decide to change colours or positioning of the various elements in your logo. It is also fully scalable should you need it for large signage etc.

If you need different file format just e-mail us at support@logofresh.co.uk to tell us your company name and the file format you need. Then click the link below to log in and make your payment.

http://logofresh.co.uk/payment

We charge an extra £10 per extra file format and the file/s will be sent to you by email usually within 1 to 2 days.

Other common file formats available are listed below.

AI files
AI stands for Adobe Illustrator. AI files can only be opened using the Adobe Illustrator or similar program and cannot be pulled into other applications.

PSD files
PSD files can be opened using Adobe Photoshop or similar program such as PaintShopPro.
We can send you a layered PSD file which you can use to rearrange and recolour your company name, symbol and strapline separately.

JPG files
This graphics file is also compressed and can open into almost any other application. JPG files are typically used for on-screen purposes such as on Web sites and PowerPoint presentations; this is because the files are smaller than EPS or TIFF files. They are not ideal for printing and cannot be resized without significant loss of resolution. This file is for Web and proof use only. You can view it with any browser.

TIFF files
TIFF stands for Tagged Image File Format. This type of graphics file is compressed, meaning that it has been pared down to contain only vital information. Like an EPS file, a TIFF file can also be pulled into almost any other application. However, a TIFF file cannot be enlarged without loss of resolution; it can only be reduced.

Browser compatability
The Logofresh website is designed to work with Internet Explorer 6+ or Firefox 1.6+. If you are using a BT Browser which is known to be problematic with Logofresh, the site may not function with this browser.

Internet connection speeds
For the best performance it is reconmmeded to have a Broadband Internet connection. A slower Internet connection would not necessarily cause problems on the Logofresh site but may tend to make the site run slower.

Cookies
You must have cookies enabled. If not, you should be able to add www.logofresh.com to a list of exceptions to allow cookies by going to Control Panel > Internet Properties > Privacy > Sites. Then type in www.logofresh.com and click 'Allow'.

Security software

Some security software could block the site from working. This can happen with certain identity theft prevention software - for instance the software may block the transfer from taking place to attempt to protect your privacy.

There is no technical reason on the Logofresh site why the system would stop working for you.

Iyou have any security software running on the computer/s you are using you could try disabling this temporarily to see if it alleviates the problem.

The symbols or fonts are not showing. What can I do?

Although rare, customers who have had this problem before followed the instructions below and did then complete their logo and make an order.

We would suggest following the advice in the following Microsoft knowledge base article: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/908356

This support article suggests adding the website to the list of trusted sites in Internet Explorer.  The site to add is "http://www.logofresh.com" and optionally "https://www.logofresh.com" if you are accessing the site via a secure connection. To work around this issue, add the Web site that is affected to the Trusted sites security zone in Internet Explorer. To do this, follow these steps:

1.Start Internet Explorer.
2.On the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
3.On the Security tab, click Trusted sites, and then click Sites.
4.In the Add this Web site to the zone box, type the URL of the Web site that is affected, and then click Add.
5.Click OK.

Note You can also configure Internet Explorer settings by using Group Policy. For more information about how to do this, visit the following Microsoft Web site: Managing Windows XP Service Pack 2 Features Using Group Policy
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb457144.aspx (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb457144.aspx)

I cannot download my logo files and save them. How can I save the files?

If when you try to download your logo files from Logofresh the File Download dialog box appears, you then choose to save the file to disk and one of the following error messages is immediately displayed:

  • The file could not be written to the cache.
  • Internet Explorer was not able to open this Internet site. The requested site is either unavailable or cannot be found. Please try again later.

    Follow these recommended steps:

    1. Clear the "Do not save encrypted pages to disk" option (see next section).
    2. Attempt to download the files again and save them to your disk.
    3. If this fails then you must upgrade to the new version of Internet Explorer.
    4. Open the new version of Internet Explorer and check that the "Do not save encrypted pages to disk" option is unchecked.

You should now be able to download and save files without incident. Microsoft article 281119 and Microsoft article 238588 explain this issue in further detail.

How do I clear the "Do not save encrypted pages to disk" option to solve a download problem.
  1. Start Internet Explorer.
  2. Select the Tools menu, and then click on Internet Options.
  3. Select the Advanced tab.
  4. Scroll down to the Security section and uncheck the "Do not save encrypted pages to disk" check box.
  5. Press OK to confirm the settings.

Other
A small percentage of users can expect not to be able to use the Logofresh site due to unique configurations on their computer which are beyond our control.
